A Swedish pad with blue and gold accents

Tjena, hur är läget?! I've just had a meeting with Gen (the My Scandinavian Home interior designer) and we've been looking at the most beautiful colour palette for my bedroom (there might just be a sneak peek on Insta stories). Now all I have to do is paint, build a wall, tear down shelves, put up curtains... the usual 5 second stuff - guh! I can't wait to show you the results next month - yay! Men, men (as they say in Sweden), on with today's tour. This lovely apartment is located in Södermalm (or 'Söder' as the locals call it) - a relaxed, creative district of Stockholm with independent shops, eclectic cafes and Fotografiska, a contemporary photo gallery in a former industrial building (don't miss the poster shop!). The 66 square metre (710 square foot) living space (which has just been sold through Fantastic Frank) is divided into two spacious rooms - one containing the kitchen and living area and the other a bedroom (it's amazing how an open-plan area can create the illusion of space in a small apartment). Deep blue accents and gold tones create a wonderful thread throughout the space, and don't miss the little spot of sunshine on the balcony too.  Enjoy!

What a great space! Loving the blue and gold tones and the light wood floor in particular, how about you?

Get the look from this Stockholm home: dining area - source a set of mid-century dining chairs like these here. sitting room - I think it's this beautiful sofa (this sofa is fairly similar).  bedroom - this brass pendant is similar, string shelves. Bathroom - brass shower head and tap from Tapwell. Linen bathrobe in light grey (I love these linen waffle towels in mustard too.

I'm a big fan of the work of Anna Malmberg (the girl behind the camera). I recently reviewed her book (available on Amazon) and shown many beautiful homes she's captured including this wonderful pad in blush accents (belonging to a set designer). You can also check out the work of the Swedish-Danish designer Katia Thøger here.

Have a great day!

PS More beautiful homes with blue accents can be found in this archive.

PPS Have you voted for My Scandinavian Home in the 'Best International Design Blog' category in the Domino Magazine Design Blog Awards today? You'd make one girl very happy if you do - yes I might even do a little jig each time one comes in! It's all happening here
